Here we go again (about 5 minutes ago). "Call now to lower the interest rate on your credit card" recording. They have been calling my cell phone and using up my minutes even though I'm on the Do Not Call List. At least the FCC is starting to do something about them, but they need to throw the book at these criminals: http://800notes.com/news/ftc-hangs-up-on-rachel-from-cardholder-services
Here is a list of spoofed numbers that you can add to your call blocking lists. These are the usual lower your credit card interest rate calls and I know that the list is accurate since every one of them has called me:
I did ALL you said and DNC - doesnt do anything to help if anything I think they sell our numbers because after my first 10 complaints I then got a few hundred more calls- I contacted the FCC and this is their response:
Although the Commission does not resolve individual complaints, each complaint is individually analyzed and assists us in enforcement actions to protect consumers like yourself. You should be aware that the TCPA also provides for enforcement of the telemarketing and junk fax rules by state attorneys general and by individual consumers. With respect to the latter, the TCPA permits individuals who have received certain unlawful telemarketing, such as junk faxes or telemarketing calls, to sue the violator in state courts where they may be awarded up to $1500 for each violation.
