they called saying that I was hiding from the federal government this needs to be rectified immediately return the call as soon you recive this message. I called back and they hang up.
They said that there were fraud and misconduct on my tax file that I was hiding from the federal goverment and that it needed to be rectified immediately. TOTAL SCAM!!!!!
IRS says I'm hiding something from them and imperative that I call them back at that number right away. I went to search the number on the internet right away.
Received a 30 second message that was clearly cut off to get me to call back. First few seconds of message started off as "file, you are hiding from the federal government". Then it left an out of state call back number of 718-450-9435. I have no intention of returning their call. Bunch of scam artists/extortionists.
I answered the call and it was an automated message claiming to be from the fraud department of the IRS as it relates to my tax returns. The message instructed me to call back the same number immediately due to my hiding from the IRS. Blocked and reported the number.
