claims I owe them for back payments on my 2 school loans. According to my loan information I am paid up to date and one I paid off 3 months ago........... I owe less than what they are saying I am in late payments. Calls my work 3-4 times a day.
This company left 5 messages on my work number within 2 days (while I was out of office on medical leave). Three of the five messages were just just Darth Vader breathing then they hang up. They identified themselves as Pioneer Collections and provided 800-450-3258 as the call back number and a reference number in the other two messages.
They called again the following week and asked for someone of my first and last name. Then they asked if my middle name was Natasha. It is not, so I told them they must have the wrong number. The guy was very unprofessional and seemed offended that my name did not match his list. I told him to remove my number from his list. He called back within a few minutes for one last confirmation and asked if my birthday was July something 1976. I told him NO and to please remove my WORK phone number (which is unpublished) from his list as I am not the person he is looking for. He was rude once again, as if it was my fault that he was given an incorrect number.
Have received 2 calls from this number from very rude people demanding a call back regarding a reference number E something.
How do I stop these calls?
