Global Touch now using phone #212-710-2912. Must have purchased a new cell phone to toss when the previous number got too "hot". The only way to prevent unwanted calls (Do Not Call list does NOT work) is to contact your provider and get info on their particular "block number" procedures.
Global Touch has been calling my number every day, several times. Calling almost every 15 minutes. My son has once answered they wanted the name of the person paying the Electric ... he didn't give them the info and told me about how they were trying to get him to give info of mine. This has to be some kind of SCAM and harrassment!! this should be investigated ......
How do I get these people to stop calling. I explained that we are loyal customers and that we belive in the "if it ain't broken, why fix it" motto. I added that they will never reach the person in charge of the electric bill, but the calls never stop. *Funny* I did some research on this and found out that ConEd was taken to court for supposely being a monopoly in electricity, they replied: if you want to start your own electricity business start digging and laying out wires. Being an almost impossible task the court ordered that ConEd should rent their wires to other companies. So now these other companies are trying to offer lower energy @ the start, but latter on raise their prices and include the wiring rental fees. Hmm, good luck with that.
For the past 3 months I've gotten about 20 calls everyday from this 718-475-4843 number.my caller id shows Global Touch as the name of the company. I don't know how they got my phone number. When I did answer their calls it was either silence, or someone asking to speak with a made up person or it was someone speaking Spanish. I asked that they stop calling but to no avail. Finally, I was able to block their calls. Thank God! I was so tired of the harassment. I don't know how a company like this can be in business.
