Some called this morning from 'The Senior Care' about who in the household is on Medicare. I was uncomfortable talking to anyone I don't know about this information and I told the caller so and she politely ended the call. I'm on the Do Not Call List, but it doesn't stop these people.
The caller had an accent. She knew my mother's name, and thought she was talking to her. She said she was calling about senior healthcare for people with Medicare. She wanted to know if I had any aches and pains or arthritis. When I asked what she was offering, she hung up. I blocked the number.
Got the same call. I couldn't see my screen very well, so answered it. She wanted to know about arthritis in my back and knees. When I said I could not understand her accent, and was she calling from a foreign country, she no she was in Orlando, FL. But, my screen said NY. She wanted to send me a wrist brace which my Medicare would pay for. That should do a lot of good on my knees! Some one must have arthritis of the brain!!
Receiving a lot calls from 718-509-6846...After reading the complaints then it's a Scammer for Seniors for knee, back, etc braces...They are feeding off Medicare's $$$...Can't Medicare Stop This Abuse ???
