Someone who is not too smart and can't tell an answering machine message from an actual person is doing the marketing here--they said HELLO in somewhat accented English in a rather annoyed way. CALLER ID read NEW YORK with the number beneath.
Call me almost every day. I tell them to put me on their no call ever list. Does no good. Very hard to understand a word they say. Very rude and crude if you do not listen to their spiel.
As you're being called by criminals asking them to be put on a 'do not call' list is of no use. They're crooks. Why would they help you? You do have a few options. Don't take the call. Block the calls, either by your service provider, app, or land line device. One other thing I like to point out to people is quite simple. You don't have to talk to anyone you don't want to. If you must answer the phone, and the silly stuff starts. Hang up. And just keep hanging up on them. Don't argue with them, don't swear at them, don't ask for a DNC list. Just hang up.
I answered this call. Man had heavy accent telling me solar energy will save me money on my electric bill. I asked where he got my number.he rambled on about demographics etc. I said he should no I am on the do not call list and I will begin suing per call. He hurried to say sorry for the call and hung up. I am going to keep track of these calls and if they continue I will go for recourse.
