Received a call from 718-530-1888, wanting to speak to the owner (mentioned her name). I said she is out of the office, can I take a message....hung up on me.
Live call to business line (no TCPA violation), but referred to the business by a very old name (so must be using some old listings of businesses) using some out-sourced call center. Caller was hard to understand, and rather pushy. Not a good reflection on the business.
BizFi (previously Merchant Cash & Capital)
450 Park Ave South, 10th Floor
New York, NY 10016
(from domain registry, web site, and NY SecOfState)
Owner: Stephen Steinbaum
Web site: www.bizfi.com
Business has been around since 2005, so probably the oldest business of this type that's contacted me. Web site actually isn't too bad, and much better than many of the fly-by-night loan companies I've been contacted by whose domains have been registered within the last 6 months.
A+ Rating on BBB: http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-rev ... ew-york-ny-9761
However their new business name has no rating: http://www.bbb.org/new-york-city/business-rev ... -york-ny-152874
Better than average social presence (Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn - links available on web site)
Recent Press Release on Yahoo: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/alternative-fin ... -134900817.html, owner has appeared on CNBC and Bloomberg.
Not sure why a presumably successful business as this is engaging in , in my opinion, telemarketing as poorly as so many questionable upstarts.
They call weekly, I answered today and they asked for the business owner. I said they are not in and do you even know the owners name? They hung up on me , LOL
