You left out he's also checking when a live voice answers the phone. Sure, he may indeed be a manipulator, but for those who do their "business" stealing information by phone and trickery, answering the phone is mandatory. Without any kind, these guys are harmless.

Was told by Verizon this is not a real number.
So not only is caller fraud - not from UPS the telephone no is not real either.

The man called my cell phone number saying he was from UPS/Fed Ex and that he had a refund check for my mother and needed an address to deliver the check to. When I tried to call the number back it was constantly busy and then I found out that this number is not good. This is a scam..look out people.
I believe this guy is a private investigator.
He uses this as a teqnique to get info out of unsuspecting people. If you are involved in any court related issue. Divorce, custody battle , landlord dispute, ANYTHING of that nature BEWARE. This guy is fishing for info. When your home ? Who lives with you? It's amazing the questions you answer just bc someone asks!!!
