These Indian scammers keep calling for Crista. Since I'm not Crista I know its the same group that's been calling for the past three months. DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OUT TO THESE F**KING [***]!! THEY DO NOT REPRESENT LEGITIMATE COMPANIES. They can be either male or female and will say they are from health insurance companies, loan companies, pay-day loans, schools, etc. Some of these numbers are Majic Jack numbers and cannot be called back. One just called me claiming to be part of a group sueing a birth control maker and asking if I had ever used jasmine birth control. I asked where he got my name and number from or if he was calling everyone in America this question. He said he got my information from medical records. At which point I informed him that medical records are private under HIPPA. He hung up on me.
UNBELIEVABLE! I came in to my office this morning, I realized right away something was wrong here, my phone rang and rang off the hook! in caller ID I realized area codes from all over the USA, I frantically started to pick up calls, and to my dismay one after the other is asking, "did u just call me?", I said "hell no! who called u from my number"? Turns out those scammers sitting thousands of miles away in India or Pakistan are just hi-jacking any US number, using it as spoof number to make it look as if they're legit..
I was victimized, I was forced to have my phone number and voicemail disabled, and it's a loss for me, this is my personal line in my office! I have no idea how to deal with it next, I lost my dear phomber to those scammers!
So tired to get calls from different numbers (this is one of those) from a person with a heavy foreign accent, telling he/she is calling from "medical deparment" and asking me if I had use a birth control. I don't know who these people can get my name and cellphone number if it is in the do not call list!
