I got the same call from the same people (for my daughter). I told them I knew she hadn't ordered any magazines because she used our home number and not her cell number (which she does her business on) and I'm glad I read the comments because when they call back I'm going to tell them I'll see them in court also! I answered the voicemail, so don't waste your time!
I too got a call from this law firm (was garbled due to thunderstorm) saying that some magazine company had given them my file and they wanted money. Told them I didn't know what they were talking about and told them to never call again then hung up. If it was real they'd see you in person. Just trying to scam you by saying I'm a lawyer blah blah blah. Don't fall for it!
got this call at 10:00 today person said they were from kirkland & ellis this is a scam they are not kirkland & ellis and that law firm knows about them . the real phone number for k&l is 212-446-4800.
This number called twice yesterday. I answered it the first time, and he asked for me, and I told him that "I" wasn't home. He pressured me to tell him when "I" would be home because this was an urgent call. He said he was a lawyer--forgot his name. He called back again later, but I didn't answer, and he left no message. I mean really--a legit lawyer doesn't do important business on the phone. Give me a break! I'm not stupid!
