Got a call from this # with a computerized voice saying they are the IRS calling about suspected tax fraud. The message goes on to say that if either myself or my attorney do not call them back, they can only "wish you well as this situation unfolds on you." I seriously doubt that the IRS would ever say that. But I had some foreigners try to scam me a few years back and they would always say that.
I also got a call from an (caller ID- unknown) 855-442-4460 with a computerized voice saying it was "Officer Ryan Smith from the IRS....blah blah blah." Same exact computerized voice.
The "call type" drop down options should really include SCAM because Prank calls don't begin to cover this type of activity. These people are EVIL.
I always put "SCAM" in the caller box. Glad you didn't fall for it and thanks for posting the number. You've saved someone who might be less knowledgeable than yourself from anxiety over the call. Well done! :-)
Total scam and should be able to prosecute the caller!!!!! Fake call, claiming to be irs and say if you don't call back, you'll be arrested for tax evasion. Total bs.
