received call from someone with heavy accent whose name I could not understand or repeat, said there was legal action being taken against me for defaulting on a payday loan, had my SS#. I asked for company name, address, supervisors name and who else I could speak to or contact about this as I had no idea what they were talking about. They just kept repeating for me to give them a lawyers name until I hung up,
This dubious and irritating individual also called me, that a legal action was being taken against me for failing to repay my pay day loan (i never applied for one). He said I had applied for pay day loan online, was approved and the money deposited into my account about a year ago and that they have made several unsuccessful attempts to compel me repay the borrowed sum of $400 + $4600 charges for untimely repayment. He kept urging me to reach an agreement rather than go to court until I got very pissed and hung up on him.
Today, I received a call at my job from Rockman and Associate and this number was left. I think the guy with the heavey accent name was Martin??? I don't know, but anyway he left a message with my co-worker saying I must call him ASAP. Well, I haven't yet, and am not sure if I want to now that I see these people are bogus. If I do call back I will let them know that I am reporting them as harassing me becasue if I'm not mistaken this has been going on for over two years or more? I will urge them to pursue court as in the past.
