Thank you. I'm just reviving this and I know I didn't commit a fraud I'm so glad you said you were with the local PD . Now I know it's a scam is there anything we can do to stop them scammers?
I received a call from (718) 770-3585 telling me that I owed $3598 for outstanding taxes from the year 2012 and that there was an arrest warrant out for me. The "agent's" name was Michael Smith.
For real $hit$ 'n giggles, play along with these scammers, but be certain to say, "Bomb, bomb, bomb" on the line...by saying "Bomb, bomb, bomb!" the call will be automatically recorded by government officials.
Got call from (718)770-3585 No Name given. This automated msg was left on my voicemail.
"This is in regards to legal Petition Notice filed against your name. The nature and purpose of this call is to inform you that we have received a legal petition notice concerning Tax Fraud against you. So before this matter goes to Federal Claims Courthouse or before you get arrested, please contact 1-718-770-3585.Later I contacted this number, there was a long delay (silence with no ring) and then someone answered. I told him the reason of the call. He forwarded my call ....again long delay (silence with no ring). Then Officer Tom Roth (Badge # 1599) from Internal Revenue Services came on the phone. He asked my phone number and came back on and said that this call is officially final notice from IRS. The nature and purpose of this call is to inform you that we have received a legal petition notice concerning Tax Fraud against you. That I owed the IRS $ $4,625. He stated that the IRS sent a letter to me and I deliberately ignored it. I stated I didn't.....but he continued. I told him that I would get with my attorney and have him call him. Mr. Roth stated that as soon as he would hang up, the warrant would be issued and then I would be arrested. I told him that I would be waiting for them.Still waiting for them.
