Just got called from this number this morning. They left no message. 1 minute later I received a call from another unknown number, only this time it was local. This second call also did not leave a number.
What good is a "do not call registry" if so many do not abide by theses rules? I shouldn't have to waist my time, paper, ink, envelope and stamp, to further request the calls to stop.
I answer to ever 3rd party collection company threat letter or phone call, by responding with a letter back to them within 30 days disputing their allegations, disputing their interest, rights, and ownership to collect on any alleged debts they speak of, and make it very clear that they are not authorized to contact me any further, by phone, or any other means for that matter, or I will report them to the AG for violating the FTCA laws (fair credit and trade act).
Yet, they have no fear, and believe they are above the law. It's a $1000 fine for every time they call after you tell them to stop calling you, so if anyone is able to get a location for me to send this official demand letter to, i would greatly appreciate your sharing of what contact info you may have been able to find on these folks.
After I send them a demand letter, requesting all future contact to ceise and decist... I dare them to keep calling. I'll gladly sit back, doing nothing, and make $1000 off of them for every call they dare to make after they receive my formal written notice of demanding the stop of all future calls, and/ or any form of communication from them, or prepare to pay the consequences for their actions.... And see if I'm kidding!

Once we have a confirmed accurate mailing address, I'll help you all with showing what you need to send to these people in writing to get the calls to stop, or sit back and make money off of their illegal ways...
Barb, I too registered with Credit Karma recently. I'm not certain if that means they are related because I was getting random calls prior to downloading the app. But perhaps it explains the surge a month later...I don't think canceling Credit Karma or any service will help. These types of 'scammy' type callers buy phone lists.
