They called and said that i was being investigted and that they were going to file charges against me for bank fraud and internet fraud but would not geive me any information
I haven't been tracking them as closely as in the past, but we did get a second series of calls from this group. This time, though, they were much more willing to let it go rather than continue the workplace harassment.
Call shows up unknown (called 18 times today) & 832546129 (called 7 times)
Called around 7am and said that he was an investigator and that they were calling from the Financial Crimes unit. Man on the phone said that I was being charged with bank fraud . I was told that I was going to be downloaded to a Criminal database at noon unless I resolved this today. The guy said that his name was Frank Jackson, but he clearly had a Middle East or Indian accent. He even had difficulty saying Frank Jackson correctly. Anyway, I told him that I had been a victim of identity theft and that I had a police report, conviction and an order of restituition; that I had no accounts that were mine unpaid. He then said that he was willing to do an "out of court" settlement on this account. I told him that I refuse to pay for anything that isnt mine, but that I would be more than happy to fax over any documentation that he would need to resolve this. "Frank JAckson" said taht since I was refusing to pay this that the police wold be at my house in 20 minutes and that I would be going to jail. "frank" told me "to just wait and see". I told "frank" that I actually lived not 5 minutes by foot from the police station and that I would be home for about another hour if he chose to send them my way.
THe calls continued all day for a total of 25 calls between 7am and 3pm.
I have had calls from 9497431049 and 9044259141.They called and said they were attorneys and I that my world was going to crumble in 38 hours if I didnt pay them money. Tell your friends and co workers , I cant believe it happened to me. It is a SCAM, When they called me for the 15 time in 1 day I said I reported them to the FBI, they hung up they did'nt call again. I believe they target people that have used pay loans. BEWARE
