I received a call from this company advising me that either me or my attorny who is representing needs to call back and if either one of us does not, "good luck with the issue at hand"!
So naturally I was freaked out and called this number back, the man stated that he was from some law office and that I was getting formal charges pressed against me for not paying back a cash advance that I took out. I explained that I never received a cash advance and i could prove that no money was ever deposited into my account! This went on and on for about 45 mins until he threatened to contact me employer and tell them that I was being charged for misappropriating federal funds, theft by deception, etc. When I told him that I felt like I was being threatened, he said that this call was recorded and a judge and several state attornies were listening into my call. I was never advised this at the beginning of teh call and he was extremely rude! He kept telling me that I had a court hearing the next day and I needed to show up with $5000 to give to the judge! Finally when I asked him what court house I needed to show up at he hung up on me.
I too have been recieving harassing phone calls. So I played right along with them by asking them where were they from, because their english was POOOR to say the least. They mentioned that I comment a cyber crime and I owe 5000.00 to some out fit called cashnet,com. So I told them I have a lawyer and I will get back to them. Well , I called them 7 times and they got mad and mentioned that I will be picked up in the morning. I am going to call them one more time and I am going to tell them the FCC has been contacted.
Hey everyone I called and asked for my case no. and they hung up the phone. HaHaHa! This is a big scam. When you get calls from scum like this do not panic, just think and mention the FCC, or lawyers. They think we are stupid and weak, but we are not! I know it is embarassing to recieve callls like this at work, but just chalk it up to someone who hacked your computer and stole your identity and you are working to correct it, because everyone has had this happen and your co-workers will empathize with you! We have nothing to be scared of, but they do! I hope this helps...stay strong and get a good laugh, because we are on to them.
I just got a scam call from these people. I didn't answer the call because the number that showed up on caller id was 052623687. Jeff Wilcox left me a msg threating me that if my atty. or I didn't respond immediatly the legal action that resulted would be my my fault and saying that he would pray for me. That statement let me know that the person on the other line was a scamming SOB. I immediatly went on line and my suspison was confirmed when I simply googled the phone number and found this website. Thank you
My brother just rec'd a call from these people advising him I was being sued and that I should contact them immediately. I decided to google the phone # and found this information. I was so scared because someone was threatening to sue me for something I had no clue about. This page has brought me relief. Thanks for the heads up!
