They called my husband's work and my own phone. I called back and got a "Hello who is this?" From a Chris I was trying to reach a Terri Winters and a Melissa answered claiming I owed money for a company I've already paid off. Which was seven years prior and should actually be off my credit report. They knew my old addresses and even my new one they told me they were going to serve us at my husband's place of business and actually argued with me after I told her I had paid it off in full. I smell scam.

Sounds like a typical debt scammer. Per the FDCPA, debt collectors bear the burden of proving that you actually owe them money - and they - per federal law - must MAIL you within five days of initial contact with you.
