I got a phone call from a local number out of Lincoln, NE first from some chick, sounding very official, saying she had 2 felony warrants land on her desk this morning from Clark County, NV and someone would be coming to my house or place of employment to arrest me and If I wanted to avoid it to call the (855) number.
When I called the number, I thought it was strange that the girl answered the phone with "Hello" instead of the business name, but I didn't think about it at the time. The girl she transferred me to said I was being charged with felony wire fraud, attempt to defraud a financial institution, and felony check fraud. I was shocked. She gave me the number of the "attorney " pressing the charges and said she could give me some details.
When I called the (719) number, they answered "Mediation ", I thought that was weird too, but I just wanted to find out what the hell was going on. This lady said the charges were filed by the district attorney for bank fraud and it didn't have anything to do with the company wanting it's money back, I told her I have never done business with this or any other check cashing company. She said that they have already verified everything, we know it was you, otherwise we wouldn't be able to file charges.
She said I had to pay $1610.18 today or they would issue a warrant tomorrow. I said I don't have that much, could I make payments, she put me on hold for a minute and came back and said we can take half now and half in a month.
I was going to pay it. My husband said no, don't do it. Call them back after we check some things out. We called the DA in Vegas and they said they had nothing on me, they don't CALL people who have warrants out, that is was more than likely a collection agency or some kind of scam. Don't give them any money.
This [***] really pisses me off. I was ready to send them $800 I don't have. I also thought it was strange that I was being charged with felony wire fraud, but they wanted me to wire them the money. I hate what this world has come to. It's a horrible horrible place.
This is the phone number I was provided for Midwest Mediations. The legal reviewer told me I would be arrested if I did not get a court release from this group of attorneys about to file for my arrest for fraud translations with a bank. Fraudulent collection company for an old payday loan scam who keeps reselling mynumber over and over.
Out of the blue I received a phone call from one company and they gave me the number for Midwest Mediations. When I called them; all she wanted to tell me was the balance and who granted me the loan. When I started asking questions and asked for payment arrangements; she started saying she didn't know if they would do that now since it would be filed in court tomorrow and an arrest warrant would be issued. She put me on hold and came back in about 1 minute and said they are willing to drop the amount owed. I told her I needed some time and she said that's ok. I'll notate that on your file. After some investigating; I am convinced that this is a fraudulent company trying to pray on hard working people so they can live on easy street. Shame on the ones that started this cheap way to make a living and shame on the people working as their puppets to harass people.
Being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you cannot be arrested for it. We don't have debtors prisons in the US.

I received a call from 856-283-3172 and told me to call them back at 855-599-8359 for an important matter. I called and they said they had felony charges against me for a payday loan that was deposited in my account that I never paid in 2013 (not true). But the file was sealed and cannot be opened until I see the judge. She had my correct last 4 of SSN and birthday. Then they said to discuss the matter further to call another number 719-247-6824. It was a company called Midwest Mediations. They claim to be lawyers. I called, she had me on hold for 5 minutes, then came back and said it was from a payday loan and the total due was $1275.42 and papers are going to be filed in court for check fraud. If I don't pay today, a warrant for my arrest will be issued tomorrow and said I should get an attorney. She was quite convincing.
They called my parents, my sister, my work (twice) and my home.
