I received a call from someone claiming to be David Malvo. He left a voice mail that stated "This is David Malvo and this is the last time I will be trying to contact you concerning your tax lien. Call me at 720 259 6219." I was concerned that someone had not received a call warning them of a possibly serious situation so I returned the call. David Malvo answered I explained why I returned the call and was asked 'What is your business?' I explained I didn't have one and he asked again 'What is your business? I again said I didn't have one and he hung up. I didn't think anything of this until I saw the complaint filed on this page.
Same guy named David. Called asking for the owner, only he actually knew my boss' name. He would give me very little information - literally hat to pry every bit out of him. He said he was calling regarding a form filed and an assessment with the county. I asked him which county... he gave me the city name, not the county. There is a group called the Phoenix Group, but they are located in California, not in CO. I am really getting tired of these scams!
Received a voice mail from David Malvo regarding federal withholding. He is now using a different phone #720-259-6219 still from Colorado. I googled the name and saw lots of other call he made a year ago. He's back.
Got a call from David Malvo from the #720-259-6219. Said he was an attorney who helps with IRS Tax Liens... full of BS. Ends up he is making cold calls to "help" and would not state where he got my info from.
