the reason youre getting those calls is because someone from the jail in colorado springs is calling your number trying to talk to someone. but since you dont have long distance/collect calls then you would have to set up a pre-paid account for them to be able to call you.
on July 1, 2009 at 7.00 PM MDT I received a call on my cell stating "This is a collect from <Blank --- No company name nothing> then it said Elpaso county criminal justice.
They also said, your phone company does not allow collect calls. So establish a prepaid collect call account using VISA/MASTER credit debit cards
Nothing more. At this point I disconnected hoping to get additional information on web and found this site.

Just received a call form this number. As stated above, the automated msg. said it is form the El Paso jail..., and that my sevice provider does not allow collect calls. I hang up at that time and went searching for this number. Scam, I assume...
How do you find out WHO is trying to call you? Most folks probably know if a loved one is in jail, but I don't know anyone that is. If they said a name, I didn't hear it.
