Got a call from this number today. I did not answer. No voice mail left. After reading about it on this site, I added the number to my cell phone block list. Thanks!
Got a call from this number today (10/21/2015) at around 9 AM Mountain Time. Caller ID was "Out of area 1-719-426-2972". I let it roll thru to voice mail, which is my standard practice with any "Out of area" calls. Whoever it was, they left no message. So they've now been added to my Call Block List.
If you want to stop these kinds of callers, the best strategy is simply don't answer any call where the Caller ID shows "Out of area" or "Toll free" -- or for that matter, ANY number that you don't explicitly recognize. These are almost always telemarketers or scammers. Let it roll thru to voice mail. If it actually is anyone legitimate, they'll leave a message. And if they don't leave a message (or don't have enough common sense to leave a message), then it's nobody that you should waste your time with anyway.
