I got a call from KB Associates saying I owed a debt and that my bank account was going to be garnished unless I paid them $100 today and $100 on the 15th. When I told her I didn't have the money she said she would let the creditor know and that they would garnish my bank account. They also have a phone number of 866-664-6473. THIS IS A SCAM FOLKS, DON'T GIVE THEM ANY MONEY.
Funny because I got the exact call tonight. Says she's from KB and refused to mail me proof of where she's from. She kept yelling at me and calling me a scammer when I asked for her name/address. She had my married name and maiden name and my old address but when I told her I wanted proof sent to my current address, she says that too bad and to wire $3400 now before it goes to court in the morning. Mind you the call happened at 8pm!! She told me to call 866-664-6473 to make arrangements, with somebody else, to wire the money. She cussed me out and claimed she was a lawyer!! She actually hung up on me because I demanded proof. She gave the name of an old cell phone company but when I asked if that's who she's collecting for, she said she wasn't sure and it wasn't any of my business!!! Hmmm, like I'm really gonna fall for that. People, make sure you watch out for this scammer!!!! I also know somebody, from the cell company she's 'collecting' for and they checked it out. Also, when you call back the number, you get a weird voice message plus, when I looked up KB, it wasnt in Ohio, than I looked up the number and it was registered to KEVIN AZARANG, 1046 E MALLON DRIVE, PUEBLO, CO 81007.....
I got the same call tonight from them at 8pm saying the exact same thing except when I demanded proof she said I would be forfeiting my rights and bank garnishments would begin
The same thing happen to me today. If it wasn't for my wife asking to speak to them and requesting proof of debt or collection, I would have assumed it was my ex and paid it off. Wow.... how do these people get our phone numbers. They go as far as to tell you additional information about family or saying you have a joint account. Oh well just be careful because they are out there.
got a call from them today too, the information they gave me was pretty accurate, but cant come up with written proof. has anyone who posted before have any new information on them?
