Like their Car Insurance would be as real as the faked caller ID number they call from.
Just talk to them like they are ISIS and calling to recruit Terrorists. And shove an "avocado" up their cornhole.
Received a call from this number stating I could lower my insurance. Caller asked for my date of birth and advised someone would call me back. I never received a call back.
Called on my cell, which has a CO number. There was nothing, so I said, "Hello?" and she/it responded, "Oh, hello!" then went into her/it's spiel about the new laws lowering auto insurance without specifying a company. I cut her/it off saying, "I'm no longer located in Colorado." There was a pause and just before I hung up she/it responded, "But you still need car insurance, right?" With that little off-script comment--which I only processed after hitting the end button--I seriously could not tell if this was a person reading the scripted part for the thousandth time today or a highly realistic voice-response system; they are getting so good! I almost wished I hadn't hung up, so I could test it a little more. LOL
