On Thursday 4/21/2016 at 0910, someone called my landline phone and left a recorded message saying " Internal revenue Services... the reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 720-250-8712. I repeat 720-250-8712.Thank you." I did not call the number. I immediately blocked the number and filed a complaint with FTC and TIGTA.
Three calls-same message 'IRS' scam.
Call type option needs to include 'Scam'. These calls have been coming via a pre recorded message threatening a lawsuit for monies due for over a year and often three to five times a day. Number changes I've blocked a total of six to date.
Message left on my mother's answering machine claiming that the IRS was about to sue demanding that the number (720) 250-8712 be called. The message is delivered by a stern female voice. However, there were several grammar errors in her spoken words. The same message was also delivered by the same speaker at a different time with the number (206) 739-7864 to be called instead.
