My number is on the national DNC. I haven't had a student loan in decades, but I'm now inundated with robocalls from what appear to be a number of different student loan scammers (in additon to every other category), as the recordings are all different. As with most of the other scammers that have decided to blow up my phone over the last couple of months, this is probably a spoofed number -- especially since the Caller ID is "Empower Retire", which means the idiots forgot to re-forge the name when they switched scams. Robocall message:

"This call is in response to your inquiry for the student loan forgiveness program. Please press 1 now to check your eligibility for the student loan forgiveness program. If it is not convenient for us to speak with you at this time, please press 2 and an advisor will contact you at a later time. To remove yourself from our registration system and stop receiving calls about your student loan debt, press 9."
I have never in my life had a student loan and i'm 63 years old. and i'm on the DNC, fat lot of good that does, i think they use that to make these darn calls!! never leave a message and if you call it's a non working number of course. couple times when i answered (always different numbers) recording about "my" student loan. i bet i've had 15 of these calls just in the last week. how do you stop this crap? you can't even block because it's always a diff number. I'd love to get my hands on these cretins.
