Who called from 7202741811

I received msg from this name as number as well regarding tax issue, using my maiden name from 30 yrs ago???How would he have that?

I received a call last week and one today. It comes from a private number. The voice mail says it's from Robert Smith with Omni regarding taxes. I have NO tax issues. The number he leaves is 720-274-1811. Has anyone actually ever called him back

Did you actually talk to him? He left me a voice mail but I don't plan to call back.

I did.  Bradly is the name on the voice mail box.  @$$hole is all I said.  this "Robert" guy has left more than 50 messages on a mailbox that isn't answered or used.  I just listened and deleted 50 messages from the last 13 months and almost half were from this guy

IDs himself as Bradley Moffit and wants you to leave a message.

Appears to be operating some sort of tax representation service.  I’m an Enrolled Agent with the IRS and I strongly recommend that if you have a tax issue which is in any way complicated, that you contact either and EA, a CPA or Tax Attorney.  I would not use one of these “tax representation” services.

Thing is, you sign on with one of these groups and don’t know exactly who is going to work on your case  or  if that person is a licensed professional.

Many of these groups have a few licensed professionals  but also use unlicensed  people for their public contact and contract negotiation as well as processing .

You might not know precisely what  you are getting into if you sign up for these services over the phone.  These groups also charge up to $150/hour.

Worse they sometimes hire ex-cons.  Just the sort of people you would not want  to have access to your personal financial information.

This sort of tax representation is just the sort of business to stay away from.  My suspicions is that they go around to various local county records and try to get copies of tax liens that have been filed and try to contact that person,  adn offering their services.
