Caller says he is calling to let us know our vehicle protection plan has expired on a car we no longer owned. This is the fourth time they've called and I told him so. He hung up on me.
I received a call today. The first lady asked if I wanted to hear my options about the "Extended Warranty". I said yes because I was bored and wanted to waste their time.
Next was Nicholas. He was said he was from "National Dealer Services, but basically it's the same thing as Chevy calling you directly". He blathered on and tried to sell me a 4 year warranty with a 50 dollar per claim deductible on my 2010 Chevy Malibu and claims to have my VIN Number (which is the first sign of shadiness). He told me this is the "Final notice" and I would have no more chances to get this great warranty. I told him I have been receiving "Final Notices" in the mail for 3 years. He said it would get more expensive the longer I waited and today would be the last chance and then they would remove me from the list.
I said, "Let's remove me from the list".
Then I had to get on the phone with the "Deactivation specialist", Sean Alexander, sounded like a fake name. He says, can you give us some feedback on why you didn't want to purchase the coverage. I said, "because it sounds like a scam". Then he got really angry and interrupted me. Then I said, "I thought you wanted the truth about why I didn't buy it, but now I know it's a scam, no professional warranty company or insurance like Geico, Progressive, etc would speak to me that way". Then he laughed and hung up.
Caller ID said Service Call. When I answered, a woman said "Hi Mr. LLC". I asked her what company she was with. She replied by asking who she was talking to. I didn't give my name and again asked what company she was with. She sighed loudly then hung up. I guess I must have p*ssed her off, LOL!
