This number 720-324-7090 texted me to warn me about a fake check scam. Someone else had just sent me a check for a Craigslist sale, and was telling me to send money by Western Union. This 720 guy told me not to send money because the check was fake and was going to bounce. I asked how he knew, and I called and talked to him. He said he's with a group called Scamwarners, which I never heard of. At first I thought he was trying to rip me off some other way, but he didn't ask for money and gave me their web site. Long story short, he was right, the check was fake. I would have been screwed if I'd followed the scammer's instructions. So I'm glad this strange guy contacted me and helped me avoid being scammed.
That same number texted me about the same thing, warned me that if i cashed a check that was sent to me that i would be getting ripped off, he texted me saying it was a scam and to not cash check or send money, that i would be getting ripped off.
I also got a text from this person this morning warning me about a check I just received being a fake! Thankfully when I took the check into my bank they called the bank on the check to verify funds and was told that account was frozen. Good thing I went into the bank and didn't take the scammers advice of using mobile deposit! Everything seems legit with this number he never asked for anything all he wanted was to warn me and everything he said seems to be coming true! Thank you Scamwarners!
