This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to stop the recording and answer questions. When you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA by hanging up rather than providing physical address and phone number when asked. Their recording offers guaranteed loans and grants without credit checks or background checks. This is clearly a scam designed to prey on those feeling insecure financially. Do not provide this scammer any personal or financial information.
Dead air...I'm pretty sure it's one of those companies pretending to be google, but can't be 100% sure. Upon calling the number back, it says to press any number to be removed (which I didn't do because it just lets them know it's an active number.
As for weif, scammers are not going to follow laws, rules, and regulations. Also, the FCC doesn't do much about it. They don't have the manpower or expertise to catch these losers,
