This was a weird call related to other odd recent text messages: I received a call from a person asking for 'Amy' (she did not identify herself). Importantly, I've also been getting 'scam' text messages also addressed to 'Amy' regarding a jobnab.com opportunity (look into 'jobnab'; they look like a scam operation themselves). In any case, I'm getting both calls and texts for 'Amy'. At first I thought it was just a wrong number. However, I tried to call one of these other numbers numbers back and got a recorded Verizon message that the number was not in service or disconnected. THAT is a 'neon sign' that these are spoofed robocalls and not legitimate. Not sure why I keep getting these calls and texts over and over again for the wrong person. This is a case where I just don't know what these predators really want. I delete and move on (I've deleted about five numbers from differing area codes all asking for 'Amy'....). Really weird.
I picked up, took several seconds for a response but a voice finally said "is this...(my name)" With such a delayed response and then hearing that in very poor English with a very heavy far east accent! Heck yes I hung up!
