I did not answer since I did not recognize. It said it was a wireless caller? I called it back to see who it was and a man with a heavy accent said he was "officer." Jason with the Internal Revenue Service." I quickly hung up because I am aware of the scam.
I have gotten this message twice today. The first time I reported it to TIGTA -- the IRS fraud unit. I won't report this second call. It was an announcement that the IRS had filed suit against me and if I wanted more info to call back. I thought the first time they said to press 1 on my phone. When one is surprised by such a call it is hard to remember all the details. I think the second call came from a different number but it shows up on my pone as from the she 72- number.
I recieved two recorded cslls from this number today within a 3 hour period stating that I owed the IRS $4:812.00. I called the number back and was told the original amount was $112. Kept calling me sir and told me the name was Brendan. Told him not only was that not
