This is one of the many numbers used by the supposed "General Investigation Unit" This time it was Detective Wellington, others have reported Detective Laurel, and others, from Accurate Investigations. They left a message mentioning Identity Theft and ask that you return the call. When you call back, they make it sound legit by having a recording say "If this is an emergency call 911" (BTW, if you punch in the extension, or zero, or wait on the line, it all goes to Det. Wellington) They get you all worked up by claiming (standard script) someone has tried to open accounts in your name in Texas and you may be the victim of ID fraud. They mention Sears and Kmart for some reason, They called my emergency contact number as well trying to get ahold of me. This is just a ploy to get information from you, they mention it may be your employer that is defrauding you because they have your SSN. Oh, by the way, who is your employer? So we can check to see if there are other reports... This is just a clever (and I wonder if legal) ploy for creditors to get information about current employment. I have to give them credit, I consider myself pretty keen to scams, but this one got me to actually call back.

Got a call exactly like this same lines were used at first I was like really someone is using my information but than I thought I have no credit except bad credit so they wouldn't get anything anyways haha detective Wellington jokes on you I alwYs check google you been reported already..(Bad Debt collector)
