Whatever you do when they ask can you hear me DO NOT REPLY YES! This is a new scam, they need a recording of you saying yes
Once they have a recording on file of your voice saying "yes," scammers can then use it to authorize unwanted charges on bills, credit cards and more.
Female asked if I can hear her, I said yes, she said good, this is so and so from Customer Service. I asked what customer service, she just read her speech as I kept asking her what customer service. we talked over each other...and I told her so basically this is a scam and I hung up. They don't answer you even though they apparently are live and all you will get is their speech. Hang up on them.
This number just called, late at night. Asked if I could hear her I unfortunately said yes and she said good and started going on how I could get 75% off of a vacation etc. I was reviewing calls like this and this is a scam tactic. Watch your phone and internet provider bill they will try and charge the companies for this call and they have you recorded saying "yes" so they will try and dispute your dispute with the recording. So keep on eye on all of your bills! and if you gave them a credit card number cancel the card and let the company know what happened. Keep yourselves safe as for me I will no longer pick up calls I don't know the number to, if its important they will leave a message be safe!
