Caller id said proccessing dept. I just lay the phone down, do other things and come back to a busy dial tone. Telemarketers don't like it when you keep their line open.
I like your response to telemarketers. Thanks, I think I'll use it myself:
"I can't do business with a company that engages in illegal activity........ I replied It 's illegal for telemarketers to call me when my number is on the Federal Do Not Call list."
"If you're not part of the solution, You're part of the problem."
They call every night. Nobody is ever on the line. Apparently this is due to telemarketers calling more numbers than they have available reps for. (I'm on the Do Not Call list.)
