I've been getting calls from this number and 720*501*4674 saying that they are "Allied Retention Services" and they have been hired to collect a debt (I Actually do owe) and that if I pay them today I will only have to pay half of what I owe.... It sounds to good to be true. They do have the original loan number that the actual creditor told me, I'm just really un-easy about this. Has anyone else been called from them or know of them?
Also, they say they are a new company and told me they are not yet accredited with the BBB....
I tried to pay them through paypal and while on the phone with paypal they told me that the reason paypal wouldn't let me proceed with the payment is because the company's paypal account wasn't fully set up.. Paypal told me it was a red flag. And that I would be the first person to give that account a payment.
I called the business and they told me that paypal isn't there most used form of payment so they re-opened that account specifically for me.
I'm really nervous here.. I was fooled once last year from a bogus company and they got $50 out of me before I realized it was a scam.
Its the same person that picks up the phone. ALWAYS. I can't find a website(which they said they are still new and don't have one yet)
I'm trying to call them to get their physical address, but right now no one is answering.
I haven't given them any money because pay pal saw it wasn't secure.
