I received a call yesterday from 720-458-9694 and then a call today from Michelle Davis (303-848-4924). Because i was curious i called. I wasn't able to speak to Michelle Davis who wasn't available, but they preceded to tell me they worked for Paul Bernstein & Associates in Colorado. And preceded to not provide me any information other that i signed up for a pay day loan sometime between 2011-2012 and haven't paid. Except the information they provided to me showing "proof" that i signed up with a payday loan was a bank account routing number that i didnt have until recently and an email address i didnt have until recently.
I spoke to 2 different people who gave me 2 different case numbers with 2 different amounts that were owed. At first they couldn't find me in their system at all. They are full of bs. They couldn't get their lie straight.
I'm sure now that this is a scam!! Please do not fall into their trap

Total scam. I did take out payday loans at one time…and paid them all off. Somehow, my information is being passed on to all of these pukes. My advice---change your cell phone number. If you don't want to do that…then USE your cell phone and call them back…tonight, I had a little fun and called as many as I could using *67. I left them all messages using their counterparts names and basically gave them the same crap they give me. So…I called as Archie Johnston to Julie and left her the same crap message that they give me all the time. This is total bs. Do not fall for their crap. My advice, however---alert your families to this. If you, like me, have taken out a payday loan in the past, they will find out who you are related to and try to scare them into thinking you are in trouble---trying to get money out of them to save you. My mom, sister, and brother have been called by these pukes saying I'm going to be "prosecuted" if I don't pay x-amount of dollars…OR they can pay the amount for me and avoid legal proceedings. This is total crap. Alert your families. If they called the right people, some would panic and give in to "save" you. Sorry---I've been dealing with this crap for 4 years…the last time I took out a payday loan. They are awful. Call them if you're bored…*67 then their number. Sorry for all who have had to deal with this.
PS---I have a lawyer on this and share every call with her. Her reply when they threaten you is "come to my place of employment, my home, or wherever you want to in order to serve me papers"….throw this at them! They are trying to scare people into paying bs debts! One called me and asked if I had a lawyer…I told them I was a lawyer (not true) and that I needed their mailing address so I could send them some documents. They hung up. It's crap. Don't panic. Don't give in, and hang in there. I know it sucks.
I've been getting call from the same people for about a month now leaving the same messages mentioned above. After reading all of the comments here I just blocked both numbers.
