Just received a call, woman asked me to verify the last 4 digits of my SSN, which I obviously did not. She proceeded to tell me it was regarding a payday loan from 5 years ago and that I had 3 felony warrants for not paying it?!?!? After telling her she was crazy she hung up. I think its a scam!

Well, being that debt is civil, not criminal, so there are NO charges if you fail to pay back a loan, I'd say it's a scam.  It's also illegal to threaten people with charges or arrest for failure to pay back a debt.  More info. here:

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.
For extortion Scam Operations, file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

Just received a call about a payday loan from 3 years back (which I'm pretty sure I paid) but the lady told me they had sent me e-mails and a 14-day notice to my house.  I have seen nothing.  She told me there were getting ready to issue an arrest warrant for fraud. I asked her who the company was and she couldn't tell me for sure.  I said then fax me the original document so I can see it.  She told me she couldn't because it was part of the investigation.  I then said well how would I pay this if I didn't know who or what amount to pay.  She told me that the restitution would be $1826 which would be much less than my bond, which would be $25,000.  How would she know what the bond would be.

I'm thinking this is a scam, but I'm still doing some research.

Received a voicemail stating it was investigator Jackson trying to obtain a statement from me or my attorney over 3 felony warrants for my arrest on fraud charges. This is such a scam! Even if I owed money (which is what she wants) it's illegal to threaten to arrest you over it and second if there was real fraud going on I would have received a summons to court already!
These people are trailer trash trying to make a quick buck. Report and Block them!
