They called someone named Diane she was saying it was a fundraiser for cancer medications! for people who cannot afford medications. Then she was rude when I said I have never heard of you and hung up on her!
Just got a call from them. They wanted to send me an envelope to make a one time donation to help pay for medical expenses for women with breast cancer that can't afford their medication.
Received a call this morning. The area code is from my state, Colorado, so I answered the call. I knew this was a scam because I had received multiple calls when I wasn't available and had looked the number up. The caller knew my first name. Darlene said she was asking for donations to pay for drugs for women with breast cancer. Since I was aware of this scam, I had looked on Google for a common breast cancer drug. I told her I was one of those women who needed help (not really, I don't have breast cancer). I said I needed help paying for Gleevec. Silence, total silence. Then she said " Well, thank you. " and hung up. I didn't waste nearly enough of her time before she hung up on me.
