So I got a call, My caller ID said; "Senior Aid 720-593-6958".
I answered the phone figuring to tell the bum to take me off the call list.
No one there so i waited a little. You know how these guys work with the robocall. After about 10 seconds I heard a beep figuring I'd get a person next. Instead I got an electronic voice saying," Goodbye"
This person had a pretty heavy accent, so we couldn't hear everything he said, but he didn't say what his company was or even who he wanted to speak to; just launched into what sounded like a prepared blurb about some sort of 'pain management'-related product or program.
We've had it with all of these illegal crank callers trying to make a buck off of us, and we didn't give him an inch. My husband kept demanding "What's your company and who are you?" and challenging him. So suddenly the guy lost it, stopped his bloviating, and just said "You know what? (Some unintelligible insult.) You have a good day, and get a life!!!"
I had the same experience as Annoyedbytelemarketrs. I got identical calls a few years ago from Hicksville, NY, except I thought it was a voice with a South Asian accent. I was able to find an address and even a photo of the private house they were coming from. The next time I got one of them I said, "I know who you are (bluffing) and I know where you are (true, so I knew I could find out). That was the last of them until today. That convinced me that it was some kind of prank call.
