Got a call from this number today (3/21/2017) at around 8 PM. Caller ID showed "Out of area 1-720-666-6524". Let it roll thru to voice mail. Whoever it was they didn't leave any message. This is the first time I've received a call from this particular number; however, I've received hang-up calls like this earlier this month from another similar number. On 3/15/2017 and 3/17/2017, I received two hang-up calls from a number where the Caller ID showed up as "Out of area 1-720-666-6531" -- where only the last two digits were different than today's call. I've blocked both of these numbers now. But if I get anymore junk calls starting with "1-720-666-xxxx", I'll probably just go ahead and block the entire 720-666 prefix.
When you call the number, you receive a "this number is not in service" message. Clearly, somebody is spoofing the number for their nefarious purposes. Just block it. Block it til it hurts.
If the scammer doesn't leave a message, you're blocked! This is why those calls will never stop: TROY, Mich. - Posted: 7:38 PM, March 22, 2017. A Troy woman was scammed out of more than $700,000 when she believed the lies of someone posting a fake profile on a dating website. why are those one in a million so gullible?
