Got a text from out of state for some snow tires I listed on Craig's List, asking me to respond to an email. [email protected]

I'm selling an item on Craigslist and I just got a text from 234-249-2345 with "Hi kindly sent me an email to ( michaela4sd@gmail,com ) if your item still avail am presently at work Email me now thanks"

I also just got a weird text about what I'm selling from another out of state number.

I got a text from 5703627417 "SEND me an email to [email protected] if your item still avail..." with the exact title of my craiglist ad..

`Please help others by reporting that email address to [email protected]

I got the same message about an item that I listed. Is it a scam? Has anyone followed through with it? I emailed him and he said he would purchase with cashiers check and after it clears send someone to pick the item up.
