Caller ID Displayed "Brighton, CO", and caller left no message. I'm in TX and have no contacts in CO.
I called the number back using caller ID blocking (so my number doesn't display on their caller ID), and got silence/crickets--after ~35-40 seconds the call was disconnected/terminated.
I don't think any of us have the time to deal with repairing credit issues caused by phone scamming or the identity theft scum. Yet the only things seen on these lines are people making money starting services like Life Lock and hearing that bills will be coming up for congress or the house to vote on making it easier for more telemarketing. When you, I, or the elderly family member are left dealing with the aftermath of these folks there isn't a whole lot of law enforcement help. Shouldn't a clear message that you will be executed for engaging in activity that financially ruins it's victims be known throughout the land and be known throughout the world that an agency here will come for you and leave you dead for the attempt. Why is it put up with and seemingly encouraged by those who could stop it? We don't want to be bothered by them.

Oh?
Tell us two of those supposed bills.
OR are you referring to the one that was submitted in Dec, 2012, and got trashed?
There are several laws against telescamming. But, scammers do not obey laws, do they?
And, if they are overseas, the US govt has little power to stop them.
Please use a little more sense when you are complaining about scam phone calls.
Do NOT depend on others to protect you.
Instead, protect yourself by educating yourself about spam phone calls, and by using a call blocker!
Caller claimed I applied for League of Professional Women, threw out the name Star Jones as being the president, wanted me to pay $999 for my dues. I said that wasn't going to work. She came up with a $199 plan, asked if I would be paying on my Visa or Mastercard? I said I was driving and she said "oh, I can wait for you to pull over". Told her to call Monday, then she got RUDE with me that I was just wasting her time! Ummm, she called ME! In my opinion it's some type of SCAM.
