Called up. Says they are from Breast Cancer of Colorado. Says would be sending envelope and if could count on support. And they are calling people from out-of-state?
This is the 4th different number I. The last couple days saying they are collecting for great cancer. All from different states. SCAM SCAM SCAM. All of them.
They have called my phone numerous times and usually have hung up and have NOT left a message to date. I made it a point to answer the call quickly and got a girl who, like Gener, told me who she was calling for and that she'd mail me an envelope and could they count on me for support again this year?! What a scam! And I told her so as I've never mailed in a donation for cancer in my life. I also asked where they got my number from because it's unlisted and on file with the National Do Not Call Registry. She promised vehemently that she would remove my number from their database. Well that was 10 days ago on the 11th and they called again today on the 21st. 2 earlier calls they identified themselves as United Breast Cancer and the numbers they called from were different I really am sick of the underhanded practices and lies of all the telemarketers lately. I wouldn't be surprised if these particular callers aren't really soliciting funds for cancer research either!
