Got a call from this same scammer - Said his name was Mark Anderson!!! Indian name? I think not - he was Indian. I asked him what company he works for and he said 800GEEKS. No he does not. I asked him for a phone number and he gave me an 800 # that is for a NJ air conditioning place. Brookfield CO. I heard lots of other Indians in the background trying to pull the same scam!
Same as the others noted. One of the worst attempts at a scam I've ever witnessed. I actually laughed thinking it was someone I worked with playing a prank it was so poorly done. It sounded like someone trying to fake an Indian accent.
This number showed up on my Caller ID today and was from Broomfield, CO. No message. Have my phone set to interrupt unidentified calls after 4 rings with the message that "this party does not accept unidentified calls - please hang up and redial with *82 prefixing your number." The Interlocken Business Park is in Broomfield with a lot of technology companies so could be one of the infamous call centers disguised as a legit business up there.
