A man with a thick accent called and pretended to be from Dish Network. He knew the amount I pay monthly. He kept asking me how many televisions I had in my house. My service would be interrupted in 2 weeks if I didn't upgrade equipment. I called Dish and he wasn't representing Dish. The man called me twice. He's very slick.

Total scam call. Thick accent from Dishnetwork and new everything about our TV's and claimed his name was Michael Johnson? Yea right with that accent? My husband even questioned the name. And yes, he is very slick. We called Dish to find out and he is not representing them. They recommended we change our password etc from Dish.
This "Michael Johnson" slick scam artist called today with the story that my Dish equipment is obselete and will quit working in 2 weeks, he was sending a box to send back the old receiver and he would send me a new one. He was following up to his calls about 6 weeks ago (when I didn't fall for his story). He's persistent. What is scary is that during his initial contacts 6 weeks ago he knew the last 4 # of my bank account that payments are made from. I reported the call to Dish Network.
