One other point to consider. Suppose these crooks want us to be so focused on not saying that one word that we forget and tell them everything else? Maybe that was the whole plan all along.
If I don't know the phone number I won't answer it. If it's important the caller will leave a message if not I don't care. If there's no message then probably it's a scam or trying to sell you a bridge in Cambodia.
Got a call from this number but I didn't answer and they left no message. I called back anyway since I am expecting calls from a few businesses in that region, though I have my number blocked by default from caller id so it was safe. I got an automated message about adding my number to a do not call list. I hung up. If I get more calls from this number or others, I'll just block them as usual.
