Different number but answered it and spoke to the nice survey guy. They were asking questions about healthcare - did ask for my first name and the phone number they could reach me at. I gave a different name, but they obviously already had my number. The questions were neutral and general about healthcare - what kind, how many people in household, our median income, etc. They said their name was "National Data Collection Firm" but I don't think that is their name. Next time I'll verify that they exist and who they are before answering questions, though I think they were safe.
Ron to answer you question: they can call you because they aren't a 1800#
I also received a call today. My caller ID also stated that it was SSI. I answered the call and it was just a blank line. I tried calling them and it didn't ring or anything. It was just the same blank line. I find this to be very odd and I can't find any information on this #
