This board is simply a sounding board for people to vent and inform others of scam telemarketing calls they receive. There is no authority associated with the 800notes site to stop these callers. In order for people to collectively stop these type calls they must act together - and TAKE ACTION!. It doesn’t do any good to complain about a caller on this board unless you then take the next step and do something about it! And never, never, ever engage the caller or call back the number. The false robo callers will then capture your number as a ‘live one’ and use it over and over and sell it to other scammers.
The DO NOT CALL list is worthless, they do not act on anything, just build a database of numbers.
In order to do something to help stop these type calls, everyone - EVERYONE needs to file an online complaint directly with the FCC. If they receive enough complaints about a particular number - they will act on it. Do it today and pass along the info:
Same here... Received 2 calls but I didn't pick-up. (if I don't know the caller, I no longer answer) The caller (sounded like a female) she said a few (undetermined) words then hung up. I ran a check thru Intelius and the last "true" owner of that number was Ken Hoskin, who died April 19, 1990. That's the first time I've encountered that type of info when doing a number search.
Didn't answer the call (I don't answer from numbers I don't recognize). No message. However, I tried dialing that number, and Verizon says that the number is disconnected. Wow...!!!
Same here! I received a call from this number yesterday and again today. Didn't answer but I called back Verizon says it's been changed or disconnected.

I get calls all day long from #s. i received a missed call from 724-355-6296 last night. I read Guitar's post about not answering the calls so my phone will stop being a "live one" (I answered the calls because I use my phone for work and personal). I have listed my number on the do not call list and have made complaints on several numbers to the "do not call webpage". I looked into the FCC webpage which is somewhat confusing and they need a lot of information. Very time consuming when you want to complain about 5+ numbers.
