WOW, Great information. I have had people going door to door about changing electric company and that they can save money. Don't like door to door and even have a sign on our door showing, the circle with a diagonal line which means NO
Caller ID says "Brownsville PA". They leave no message.
I looked elsewhere as there was little here. One site said the number corresponds to a landline in "Pittsburgh, PA" (it is possible the number has been spoofed). I didn't see much other useful info except the timestamps from other posters indicate that the number has been operating for about a month.
Phony caller ID ("town, state" is almost always phony) and leaving no message make me suspect an unspecified SCAM.
Brownsville PA. Woman asked if I'm the person who pays the PECO bill. I asked for her identity, refused to comply. I asked for her badge number, refused to comply. I said if this is really PECO, you'd be able to supply this info, so this is a scam. She hung up.

I have gotten calls in the past 4 weeks 2-3x a week. Normally I do not answer unless I recognize the number.
But yesterday I did answer took 15 seconds to talk to as young female.
She advised I could save %|$$ by switching to another electric company. I asked her how she got my unlisted tele number, she said it was in the PPL Database. I asked did she work for PPL. At that point the line went dead.
I would again tell anyone if you do not know the number never answer and let it go to voice mail.
All other times never a voice mail was left from this number.
