Unfortunately you have been scammed.
The pop up warning was just an advertisement trick, it wasn't really a message reporting you had a virus.
The "tech" company is off shore con artists who trick you into installing their software, which really is a virus or trojan, then extort money from you to "fix" the infection.
If you paid by credit card, dispute the charges and close the account.
